For nearly a decade, Canadians have been taking part in Giving Tuesday, a global movement “to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity” on the last Tuesday in November.

CPRS has been so inspired by the concept, we’ve decided to make a month of it.

Across the country and throughout the year, CPRS members give their time and talents to charities, non-profits and community initiatives. Grassroots organizations and associations recognize the value of having communications expertise at the table, and benefit from the strategic, ethical counsel our members provide.

This is especially true right here at CPRS. From the local Societies to national committees, councils and task forces, CPRS members are the engine that keep our professional society running.

Having broad range of insights and experiences helps shape CPRS into a Society that reflects its membership and advances the profession. We are proud to be a Society that offers ways for members to contribute at every step on the career ladder, from students to the College of Fellows, and every rung in between.

Being #CPRSProud can take many forms, from a donation to the CPRS Foundation to rolling up your sleeves on one of our committees, councils and taskforces that are working to advance our professional and creating professional development and community networking opportunities for members across Canada.

If the extent of your involvement with CPRS today is only reading Communique or participating in webinars, make Giving Month 2022 your motivation to get more engaged with CPRS and your communications colleagues across the country.
