A message from CPRS National President Claire Ryan, MCM, APR: Looking forward to 2024 and beyond

I hope you’ve all settled into this new year. At CPS National, January has been speeding by thanks to the many initiatives we have underway for 2024. One of the perks of my role as National President is to occasionally have this platform to share updates on our work with you.

Elevate 2024
We launched registration for the Elevate 2024, our national conference at the end of December, and are excited by the number of members who’ve already made plans to attend. The Programming Committee, volunteers from across the country, have been meeting regularly and developing an agenda focused on the ever-relevant topics in AI and Media. More information about our panels, workshops and speakers will be announced in the coming months, and I hope to see you in beautiful Mont Tremblant this June.

National Awards of Excellence

A highlight of the national conference is our Awards Gala dinner. Our National Awards of Excellence program is a celebration of outstanding achievements in PR campaigns, programs, and projects. There are 28 categories this year and the submission period is now open. I encourage you to reflect on your recent work and consider taking part in this national program that showcases the impact of our profession.

Congratulations, 2024 APRs!

January is always an exciting time at CPRS National, as we announce and celebrate our members who have successfully achieved their Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) designation. Earning the APR is a testament to a practitioner’s commitment to professional growth, not to mention a willingness to dedicate the better part of a year to preparation. Congratulations to the 2024 APR cohort!

Special Shoutout: President’s Council

My first taste of being involved with CPRS at a national level was through the President’s Council, a monthly meeting where local chapter presidents come together to share updates and collaborate on ideas for meaningful member experiences. It’s what got me hooked on being part of CPRS’s national community, and these discussions remain a highlight of my month. Each of the local societies are so lucky to have such dedicated and engaged leaders at the helm.

Read on for more updates from our National team about the events and milestones planned to bring our membership together throughout 2024. Here’s to another great year to be #CPRSProud.
