Andrea Lekushoff is a seasoned PR executive who’s been running her own national PR agency, Broad Reach Communications, for 17 years. But even with all that experience, she is constantly seeking ways to grow and learn.
This past summer, Andrea challenged herself to face one of her deepest fears—a fear of heights—by setting out on heli-hiking adventure to climb the via ferrata course up Mt. Nimbus near Golden, BC. Before the climb, she put in some very specific groundwork to tap into her subconscious and make sure she was as mentally prepared as she could be.
In this session, Andrea will reflect on her triumphant climb and on what she learned from it that transfers seamlessly to other areas of her life, including her PR work. Sharing lessons about confidence, teamwork, facing fears, proactively making decisions for yourself and more, Andrea will tell the story of the biggest adventure of her life and how it’s changed her as a person and a leader. She may even inspire you to seek out an adventure of your own.

Andrea Lekushoff is the president of Broad Reach Communications, a PR agency specializing in crisis and reputation management, corporate communications, public and stakeholder relations and social media executive profiling. The agency is known for the deep industry expertise of its senior team and for doing exceptional work that drives reputational and business results.
Andrea has deep experience counseling C-level executives, mid-level managers and boards across a range of industry sectors including professional and financial services, legal, insurance, real estate, technology, telecommunications, mining, manufacturing and energy. Before founding Broad Reach, Andrea was a strategy consultant at Deloitte. Earlier in her career, she held successively senior roles at two corporate communications PR agencies and worked in the public affairs division at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C.
Andrea holds an MBA from the Ivey Business School, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Western University, and Strategy and Leadership Executive Education Certificates from Harvard Business School. Committed to her community, Andrea serves on the board of Women of Influence, an organization dedicated to the advancement of professional women. She also recently sat on the board of the Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre and for the local chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).
