BC Assessment is currently looking for an experienced Website Content Coordinator to join our team! As Website Content Coordinator, you will support the design and development of our SharePoint intranet and public website while working closely with web users and subject matter experts from across BC Assessment.  You will play a key role in developing content, graphics and photos based on our web standards and governance, and integrating feedback and analytics to improve the messaging and branding of our online presence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing website content strategies to enhance the user experience on our websites;
  • Providing website content author training for content owners and authors;
  • Supporting major projects with content writing expertise;
  • Using your creativity, design and technical skills to conceive, refine, and produce high-quality promotional and functional electronic media and materials.

To be successful in this role:

You will need solid writing skills and experience, as well as excellent customer relations and communications skills.  You will also need the ability to collaborate with a broad range of employees and support them in terms of content, customer needs, and program goals.

This position is included the bargaining unit. BC Assessment intends to establish an eligibility list for this competition.  

•    Location: Victoria, BC - Uptown
•    Compensation: $65,070.43 - $76,553.13
•    Competition Close Date: Sunday June 6th @ 11:59PM

Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Computer Sciences (web design, web writing), English or equivalent.

Experience

  • Experience writing and editing communications materials.
  • Experience using website preparation software such as Front Page, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience with content management systems.
  • Experience in web content creation, web design and maintenance
  • Experience working in a web development environment.

Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
