About the Position: 
 
The role will be tasked to build and oversee an integrated communications strategy, in line with Ceridian’s business strategy and objectives, that drives awareness for Ceridian’s leaders, products, and brand. The primary responsibility will be to achieve business outcomes through media relations and PR activities for our target market segments, with a focus on key verticals (retail, financial services, manufacturing, health services, and public sector). The role will also play a critical role driving awareness for Ceridian tech innovation, including our flagship cloud platform, Dayforce. They must have proven PR experience in technology, including leading communications efforts for product launches and releases. This role will also assist with management of global PR agencies. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop of an integrated communications plan to support Ceridian’s target market segments, including key industry verticals.
  • Build executive profiling plans for key executives within these verticals, as well as members of Ceridian’s executive leadership team.     
  • Drive communications strategies forward, from conception to execution, to support our product and innovation roadmap.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Product, People and Culture, and Sales to deliver effective programs that support programs or people and help achieve overall business goals. 
  • Provide support and counsel to senior executives and subject matter experts for media relations or public speaking opportunities.
  • Serve as a thought-leader, proactively generating thought leadership ideas, strategies, and tactics for the Ceridian brand, products, and subject matter experts. 
  • Write and oversee the creation of communications materials, including press releases, key messages, spokesperson Q&A, speeches, pitches, bylined articles, interview briefs. 
  • Foster relationships with external stakeholders including PR agencies and vendors. 
  • Strengthen media and influencer relationships, including those with print, online, and broadcast outlets. 
  • Drive communications best practices, including content, approaches, and distribution vehicles. 
  • Identify and assess issues management and corporate reputation risks to protect the Ceridian brand. 
  • Manage programs fully and with limited supervision, including measurement, budget tracking, and planning processes.
  • Management of global PR agencies: Help manage PR agencies in the U.S., Australia, and UK. 
  • Lead and inspire team members to excellence and manage performance reviews. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree (Communications, Journalism, English, or Business degree preferred). 
  • Post-graduate certificate in corporate communications, public relations, or related discipline. 
  • Experience delivering results within the technology sector and/or for technology clients. 
  • Self-starter, proficient at managing programs from the ground up. 
  • Proven media relationships. 
  • Team player with a positive attitude. 
  • Meticulously organized. 
  • Skilled writer. 
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, cross-functional organization. 
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on achieving, tracking, and measuring results. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as required, and travel on occasion.
