Job Description

Harbourfront Wealth Management Inc. is an industry leader and a rapidly growing organization specializing in providing complete wealth management solutions for middle to high net worth clients.

We are looking for a sharp PR professional with extensive experience leading proactive media relations and communications programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of increasing awareness through thought leadership programs and communications plans to support Corporate launches, client success stories, campaigns, and executive profiles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and execute PR strategy and tactics to elevate Harbourfront and increase service visibility in mainstream and trade publications
  • Manage day-to-day public relations and communications operations, including management of PR agencies
  • Bring Harbourfront’s story and services to life through narratives, programs, messaging, campaigns, etc.
  • Nurture and maintain a strong network of media contacts among both top tier business and trade press
  • Create compelling and provocative content with a purpose
  • Work cross-functionally to develop press releases, talking points, submit award submissions, and identify and pursue speaking opportunities
  • Write and edit bylines, op-eds and contributed articles with a high degree of consistency, conviction, and credibility
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to develop and disseminate communications initiatives and projects that drive business outcomes
  • Proactively identify opportunities and develop new programs to improve internal communications
  • Serve as both an individual contributor and cross-functional leader
  • Monitor, analyze and report PR results monthly and quarterly
  • Stay abreast of industry and market trends


  • 5 to 7 years’ professional experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Public relations, Communication, Marketing etc.)
  • Experience in B2B marketing, social media, data analysis, report building, and presentations
  • Exceptional writing skills to distill complex ideas into simple, compelling and relatable narratives
  • Experience with TV & Media interviews and industry related conferences preferred
  • Excellent time management and priority setting skills
  • Experience in the Financial Services: specifically, experience with IIROC and the provincial securities commissions is highly beneficial
  • Experience with building a firm-wide strategic PR plan and implementation, is an asset
  • An editorial background is an asset
