HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Media Relations & Media Monitoring
You will be responsible for the development and distribution of Daily News Briefs to the Organization and act at the key point of contact with our media monitoring service providers. You will develop and distribute targeted media coverage reports on active and emerging issues and maintain the Kellogg Canada Media Hotline.
Internal/Employee Communications & Event Planning
You will assist in the planning of quarterly Employee Communications Meetings, developing materials as required. You will also assist in program planning, logistics and execution for numerous internal employee events.
Corporate Communications –
You will develop and maintain corporate content, web enhancements, and the News Centre on Kelloggs.ca. You will also update and maintain various Canadian Corporate Communications materials and content for internal and external audiences.
Kellogg Canada Intranet Portal –
You will update and maintain an ongoing editorial calendar for our Intranet portal and Digital Screens, refreshing content on ongoing basis.
Brand Marketing Communications –
You will assist with internal communications materials and initiatives to support Brand Marketing activities and participate in program planning and ideation.
Social Media –
You will bring a strong social media acumen to the role, stay up-to-date on emerging social media trends, and develop corporate content for our owned social platforms/channels
Corporate Social Responsibility
You will support Kellogg Canada’s heart and soul strategy and global purpose platform,
Kellogg’s Better Days,
with key internal and external stakeholders, including the coordination and planning of various employee volunteer initiatives
Crisis & Issues Management
You will compile enhanced daily media coverage reports, and file, maintain and analyze news media coverage.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
University Degree and/or Graduate Certificate with a focus on Communications, Media, English, Journalism or other related field.
PR Agency or Corporate experience
Excellent writing and communications skills, creative problem solver, strong time management skills, detail-oriented, independent self-starter, strong interpersonal skills and sense of urgency, sound judgment, negotiation skills, and a commitment to exceptional client service
Tact, diplomacy and discretion when managing confidential information
Strong Social Media acumen
Experience with content writing and planning across multiple, real-time social platforms/channels (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Yammer, etc.)
Understanding and interpretation of platform analytics
Understanding/experience with social listening/moderation and industry tools (e.g., Spreadfast, Crimson Hexagon, etc.)
Strong working knowledge of PC applications including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Microsoft SharePoint. Photoshop & Design skills an asset.
