Reporting to the Director, Communications, the Digital Content Strategy Manager works with the Director and the Communications team to provide content direction and oversight of branded and editorial content to be leveraged across digital marketing and communication channels to engage the membership and enhance the public’s understanding of APEGA’s purpose and its value as a self-regulatory body for the engineering and geoscience professions in Alberta.
The Digital Content Strategy Manager is responsible for spotting trends and technologies that play roles in members’ lives and delivering compelling content in this regard. The position leads the development of a digital content strategy and related operational activities for APEGA to strengthen its external profile, build its brand and key relationships, and ensure information is delivered to members and stakeholders in an engaging, timely, and informative manner. Digital content initiatives include website copy, white papers, magazine and newsletter articles, blog posts, videos, social media content, news releases, and product/service descriptions—content and information programs that are developed and delivered to members and public stakeholders that are intended to inform and engage.
The Digital Content Strategy Manager will focus on crafting and implementing a digital content strategy that will build awareness and engagement around APEGA’s value and impact across the province while responding to members’ needs. Determining key indicators to analyze campaign performance metrics to measure progress and identify improvement areas is an important requirement for this role to help shape APEGA’s emerging brand presence.
This position has reporting to it a team of four: Writer & Editor, Digital Content Specialist, Social Media Specialist, Content Writer.
