About the position
A key component of the Bank of Canada’s external communications strategy is stakeholder relations. Effective engagement with the individuals, groups and organizations that are, or could be, affected by the Bank’s activities and policy decisions can generate significant value in terms of more informed decision making, greater transparency and accountability, more effective risk management, better informed audiences, and a greater stock of confidence and trust.
The Senior Analyst collaborates with fellow Stakeholder Relations team members in the Communications Department, as well as colleagues across the Bank to provide strategic direction and advice on the Bank of Canada’s relations with external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with core objectives and communications strategy. The position has a focus on payment system-related issues and financial system stakeholders more generally. By planning, executing, advising on, and evaluating stakeholder engagement activities, the position plays a key role in strengthening relationships with key stakeholders and reinforcing confidence in the Bank’s mandate.
