The Manager, Communications (Manager) provides leadership and direction to the Commission regarding its internal and external communications. The Manager is responsible for integrating various components into a responsive, efficient and effective communications framework and infrastructure capable of responding to the needs of the Commission, peer agencies, public, and media.
The incumbent provides communications advice and support for the Director, Public & Corporate Relations; guides and mentors staff to ensure their development; and implements internal communications policies, strategies and plans for the Commission. Through knowledge of public consultation processes, community infrastructures, aboriginal organizations, and the regional, social, cultural, economic and political interests of all provincial citizens, the Manager is responsible to build and maintain positive and cooperative relationships with varied stakeholders.
