Dalton Cloutier Inc. (“DCI”) is seeking an Executive Director for one of their clients, the Canadian Public Relations Society (“CPRS”). We’re looking for an innovative self-starter who has experience managing member-driven organizations and has a proven track record in developing successful campaigns to increase recruitment, retention and non-dues revenues, as well as realizing operational efficiencies.
The Executive Director is the chief staff executive and signing officer of the Society with the responsibility for its day-to-day operations and growth for the clients. As a permanent staff person of DCI, the Executive Director provides advice and counsel to support the CPRS Board of Directors and the Society’s Strategic Plan as well as provides continuity and corporate memory for the incoming CPRS Board of Directors. The Executive Director's role is to propose policy direction and business development initiatives to the Board or its designate (e.g. Councils, Committees) and, in partnership with the elected and appointed leadership of the Society, achieve the goals and further the mission of the Society.
Dalton Cloutier Inc. (DCI) is a fast-paced association management company. DCI has a staff of six (6) employees and currently provides management services to the Canadian Public Relations Society and the Canadian Carwash Association. DCI offers its clients an array of services including administrative support, membership support, event management, communications, website management and marketing services. Membership drives and membership research is ongoing.
Functions and Objectives
Under the authority of the Society's by-laws and the policies of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director shall:
a. direct and execute all activities of the Society either directly or through delegated authority;
b. provide leadership in these and other areas: the creation of strategic and tactical objectives; revenue generation; development of goals and performance measurements against those goals ; organizational development; liaison to the public, government, affiliated organizations, and other stakeholders; member services and member development; the development of the Society's staff.
