Based in Toronto and reporting to the Vice President, Sponsorship, Corporate and Community Engagement, the Assistant Vice President, Corporate and Public Affairs is a highly visible and engaged strategic thinker, influencer, advisor and communicator responsible for IGM Financial’s public and media relations, reputation management and supporting brand building nationally.  A highly trusted and credible senior advisor to IGM Financial’s senior leadership team, she/he delivers strategic corporate messages across multiple media and communication channels. A gifted communicator, this leader will proactively see and strategically create opportunities that ‘shine the light’ on IGM Financial’s leaders and the innovative work IGM Financial leads within the industry. Social and digital media savvy, the Assistant Vice President, Corporate and Public Affairs will inspire internal and external stakeholders alike with her/his ability to powerfully communicate key corporate messages to the market. She/he will be able to leverage and develop her/his extensive media network to ensure the most comprehensive, proactive and responsive corporate and media relations plans and will drive the strategic messaging of IGM Financial’s brand across Canada.



The ideal Assistant Vice President, Corporate and Public Affairs will bring 10+ years of communications, public relations, business and leadership experience working within a financial services organization. A savvy and key communicator with exceptional judgment, the Assistant Vice President, Corporate and Public Affairs is a highly networked and seasoned communications leader with proven success building and effectively developing the corporate profile of a business through multimedia and social media platforms nationally or internationally. Acting as a key leader of IGM Financial’s external communications, media relations and public affairs teams, she/he brings seasoned judgment and perspective to the business with the ability to build relationships with the media and other communication channels on IGM Financial’s behalf.

An experienced leader, she/he has deep knowledge about IGM Financial’s business and knows how to execute a corporate communications and public affairs strategy, all the while building essential buy-in and alignment cross-functionally. Inspiring, collaborative and strategic, the successful Assistant Vice President, Corporate and Public Affairs is an experienced senior communications executive with exceptional advisory, public relations and relationship building skills, and proven leadership experience in the evolving financial services industry.
