Communicating immigration in a challenging global context
December 11, 2019 to December 11, 2019
Presented by: Theodora Jean, M.Comm.
Senior Communications Advisor
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
Against a global backdrop where issues of immigration are increasingly polarizing, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) launched an initiative called Immigration Matters to highlight the economic, social and cultural contributions of immigrants in communities across Canada. By combining storytelling with facts, the Government of Canada continues to try to break through the noise and foster a constructive dialogue about immigration.
In this session, attendees will reflect on the role of government communications in promoting a balanced narrative in a challenging communications climate.
