This Year's Theme: At The Heart

This year’s program will explore the many facets of our rapidly changing environment by focusing on the topics that matter most to today’s practitioners, centered on the commitment to share knowledge, build connections, and grow a profession that is at the heart of our success.

The three pillars At the Heart of the conference
Resiliency & Reconciliation
Truth and Reconciliation is not only about righting wrongs, but also about opportunities to strengthen our communities, our organizations, and our people to better walk alongside one another on this path. To create better understanding of Reconciliation and the role of the public relations practitioners in guiding meaningful actions, messages and approaches, we must understand the importance of:

  • Language in reconciliation
  • Telling the truth to create space for reconciliation
  • Creating meaningful, experiential interactions
Community & Engagement
For organizations to more effectively engage and serve their communities and diverse publics, they must first understand how best to engage them. Public relations practitioners are the champions and primary conduit between the organization and its publics—employee, vendors, interest-holders, media and the public.
  • PR as a leadership/management function
  • PR as an internal champion / employee communication
  • Engagement and interest-holders
Insight & Opportunity
How we communicate with our diverse publics, the emerging technologies available to engage with our audiences and who is communicating on behalf of the organization have a major impact on how we are seen by the communities we serve as understanding their various needs.
  • Change, disruption, and the future
  • Gaining new perspectives and broadening horizons
  • Impact and evaluation of technological evolution and emerging technology
