Event Description

Roderick Stanley, BAA, APR, FCPRS, Project Manager/ Facilitator for the Planning and Evaluation division of Health PEI offers a workshop focused on understanding and dealing with bullying and harassment in context to face to face internal and external stakeholder engagement This dynamic session focuses on understanding the motivations of bullies and harassers, how to regain balance in group work and rebuild group productivity.

Mr. Stanley has facilitated and project managed a variety of communication, planning and project initiatives with groups ranging from 4 to 150 participants.

Anyone with experience in the front lines of stakeholder engagement recognizes how quickly a well-intentioned planning or information session can go off the rails.

All it takes is one or more participants to exert inappropriate dominance – to harass or even bully the facilitator, leader or participants in the room at the expense of everyone’s comfort.

This engaging session focuses on understanding the motivations of bullies and harassers, how to regain balance in the room and rebuild group productivity.

Participants will learn why this session is an important and very timely topic for facilitators and engagers. The potential negative impacts on outcomes are real and there are effective and respectful strategies to deal with this type of behavior.
