TOPIC: Can a BLOG effectively be used as an internal communications tool when proprietary information is in the mix? Learn how Ministry of Justice Canada legal and corporate staff, many of whom were not techno-savvy, adjusted to this program and its new technology.
When the Ministry of Justice started this new initiative, challenges such as these, arose:
- no guidelines for blogging existed within the Government of Canada
- security issues needed to be addressed
- public accessibility through the Access to Information and Privacy legislation was a possible roadblock
- the platform that would be used had to be based on existing technology
- what name would make the BLOG inviting to employees
HOW WOULD THIS UNIQUE METHOD OF COMMUNICATING BE MARKETED TO THE REGION, AND WOULD STAFF BE RECEPTIVE TO IT?
