About Mark
Mark Hunter LaVigne is an award-winning media relations and media training specialist with 15 years' experience in public relations. He has spent his entire PR career on the agency side, seven years with downtown Toronto agencies and nine with his own company, Hunter LaVigne Communications Inc.. Mark works with clients ranging from blue chip corporate entities to non-profit organizations to government.

Prior to entering public relations, Mark spent five years in radio journalism in various Canadian major markets after graduating with a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario. He also sits on the Advisory Council to the Graduate School of Journalism at UWO.

Mark regularly writes for industry newsletters and has recently completed a book on proactive media relations. He also teaches part-time in the Corporate Communications Program at Seneca College, a graduate level PR course situated at Seneca's York University campus.

He is an accredited member of CPRS is a Past-President of CPRS (Toronto) and was recently elected as Vice President/Secretary on the CPRS National Board.
