About Joe
Joseph Thornley founded Thornley Fallis in 1995 and is currently Chairman and CEO of both Thornley Fallis Communications and 76design.

Joe has over 22 years of experience providing clients with communications strategies and programs. During this time he has provided communications advice and support to some of Canada’s leading companies and organizations as well as government departments and agencies. His success has been based on his ability to draw on multidisciplinary talents to respond to client needs. His clients know him to be driven to excel, focused on providing creative solutions to meet client needs, and fanatical about detail in execution. He brings these qualities to every client project, both large and small.

Joe is an active blogger. His principal blog, www.propr.ca, is dedicated to best business practices, practitioners and building the ideal PR firm. He also publishes to a separate blog which is accessible only to TF Group employees behind the firm’s firewall.

Joe draws on his expertise and experience in social media to lead Thornley Fallis’ social media practice. He developed the company’s blog strategy to establish thought leadership through active participation in the blogosphere and early adoption of new methodologies and technologies.

His recent speaking engagements have included: the Canadian Institute’s Conferences on Internal and External Communications for Government and New Media for Communications, as a roundtable panelist on Are Blogs and Social Media Changing the Communications Landscape for CPRS Ottawa-Gatineau and How Blogs Are Transforming Communications at the Government of Canada’s Communicators Conference 2006.

Joe is a member of the Counsellors Academy of the Public Relations Society of America, the Canadian Public Relations Society, and the International Association of Business Communicators.
