About Carleen
Carleen Carroll's career in public relations and communications spans nearly 20 years, with experience in government, the financial and telecommunications industries, consulting in the public relations agency sector, and as a political advisor. She is a subject matter expert in developing an organization's communications capacity from the ground up, stakeholder relations and public consultation, and, in managing competing issues to develop public policy.

As Director of Community Relations for the Regional Municipality of Halton she is responsible for communication and customer service functions, internal and external communications, change management processes and raising brand awareness, and public consultation and communication strategies.

Prior to joining Halton Region, Carleen held the positions of associate vice-president of employee communications and director of public relations with TD Bank Financial Group-Canada Trust. Her telecommunications experience includes Rogers Cantel Inc., AT&T Canada Long Distance Services and Unitel, where she held various positions. In Ottawa, Carleen served as legislative assistant to the Honourable Flora MacDonald, Minister of Communications and was selected as a Parliamentary Intern in 1983.

Carleen is an active member of the CPRS Hamilton Chapter and holds the position of Chapter President and Accreditations Chair.
