The national organization consists of a federation of 14 member societies located across Canada. Each Member Society:
- has its own local Constitution, Letters Patent and Bylaws in keeping with the philosophy and standards of the National authority
- runs a program of professional development events, seminars and networking opportunities and acts as a source of information for what is happening in the profession and CPRS. CPRS members are linked to their local member society upon joining and are actively encouraged to participate in local activities.
